My husband ordered a take out Beer battered Cod fish fry for us to share. The Fish was delicious. The coleslaw had excellent flavor today. The potatoe salad not so much. Neither of us liked the flavor and couldn't finish eating it. Most of the time they serve excellent food here. Love the service when we dine in. In choosing a dine in restaurant, Blue Willow is our first choice.

This is honestly a high caliber place in the Wausau area. Lets start with the atmosphere. It has a north woods cafe meets the 1980s feel with all the wood accents and booths. Its a brilliantly designed layout that allows for a cozy feel without a bad seat anywhere. The location of this store is set in a quiet northside side where you feel safe and a part of the community. The parking lot and building are inviting and have a mom and pops feel rather a box chain. The service was amazing. Tia our server was fast, extremely personable, and professional. All the staff cared about our experience from the time in the door to the last moment we walked out to leave. Friday nights there are the best and so are Saturdays. The food was astronomically good. Our food was fresh and the quaility of ingredients farm fresh or top notch for our appetizer basket. The burgers were ground steak were cooked to absolute perfection. The burgers had a perfect sear and not dry. Our fries and salads were something from a menu picture and tasted as good. Our cheesecake rivaled that of of places i have gone to in New York. The restrooms were clean as the entirety of the building was well. This entire location clearly is well kept and maintaned down to the murphys oil used to clean the wood. Not a dime of dust anywhere nor dirt on the floor. This place makes Eagles Nest look like a step down and i have been to both. It blows anything including Jakes Supper Club in Menomonie away. Folks... go here and nowhere else in the area. You wont be disappointed.

Decided to skip Breakfast Bear this trip and try out somewhere new. Honestly we may have enjoyed this breakfast even more. Very old school vibe, but great food, and great service. We will definitely be back when we’re around the area.

Spectacular food. Breakfast has never let me down at this place. Fresh flap jacks, eggcellent omelets, and a never ending cup of coffee. Cakes and pies are also a delicious way to end a meal here.

We have been going here for years. It's the best diner in Wausau! I love their chicken bacon ranch wrap.

You won't regret eating here! They have great food, large portions, and friendly staff. The place was pretty full, but we got a table right away. I'm so glad the Kia dealership recommended it to us!

One of my friends recommended this place and I was pleasantly surprised. I got a wrap and it was genuinely the best wrap I’ve ever had. The portions were also so big. I came in super hungry and still needed a box for like half my fries. Service was also great despite being busy. Definitely returning soon especially because It’s been almost 24 hours and I’m still thinking about the food lol

Hometown vibe with a super friendly staff. Came in for a Friday night and was seated quickly, orders taken shortly after and didn’t have to wait long for the food. Portions were very good. Pan-fried Walleye was excellent. Strawberry summer salad was amazing and very good portion. The cod was also good size and tasty. Our grandson’s chicken tenders were also large and a huge order of fries for a kids meal. The only complaint is the smelt was very fishy tasting and had large bones. It was big portion, but the smelt were a bigger size too, making the taste not the best at all. We didn’t complain though because everything else was great.

We were reccomended this spot by a local and we're pleasantly surprised. They even scrounge up some grits for this southern boy. Steak and eggs was excellent. Perfectly cooked medium-rare. The sirloin beef burger was massive and also cooked very well. Pancakes were delicious. Servers were Great and so friendly.
